A Love Island star has quit the show after their partner was axed in a surprise dumping. 

According to The Sun,the abrupt exit has left producers in shock,given the Islander who chose to walk is one of the 'most popular' and they had hoped they would recouple with a bombshell yet to enter the villa. 

The surprise exit follows on from Trey Norman and Ellie Jackson leaving the Majorca villa during Sunday night's episode. 

A source told the publication: 'Producers decided it was a good idea to trim the fat and called another dumping soon after Movie Night.

'What they were not expecting was the partner of the individual axed wanting to leave.'
